 Traveling with non MRP passport

I havenot converted my Passport to MRP yet?Do i get in trouble in transit if i travel with that passport? My passport is valid till January 2017.I am thinking of traveling to Nepal in december .

From what I understand, you cannot travel with handwritten passport anymore. You can apply for travel document from Nepalese embassy. It usually arrives very fast (within a week). It is good for one way travel to Nepal for 3 months from the issuance date. Then, you can renew your passport in Nepal in December.
