Any updates on ANA Convention at Phoenix? How was Nepathya and Dj party?
How many people showed up and how was the crowd?

Nepatya was sofaking cool,Rest were okay. Santosh Pant and his cheap humor was pathetic. I have been to betterANA conventions. The ppl from AZ worked really hard to make this a success though, hats off to them.

So did any other bands besides Nepathya played there? If they did how was it?

There were couple of others, Andazification and PD Pradhan's group. They were okay.You didn't miss anything.

Referee never changed their decision. They didn't awarded penalty. Hand signals were indicate for free kick. Team United player was just opposing the faul call because they thought it was clean tackle. NY team misunderstood it.

Of course, since Team United went back to defensive game, no surprise to putting 11 men to block the kick. If you haven't seen kick inside D area, this will not be last one because it is in the FIFA rules. Please check out FIFA rules.

Controversial foul happen before corner kick. There was no corner kick at all so there was no any goal. By the way, no offensive player can block or touch goalie before corner kick. NY player was pushing the goalie but referee just saw goalie pushing NY player. Second person caught for wrong reason. NY was lucky to get free kick.

Yes, NY controlled the most percentage of ball because once Team United got one goal lead. Their strategy was to hold one goal lead by playing defense. No doubt NY was improved a lot. They are really good soccer team. It was brilliant soccer game played by both team as well as both team showed best sportsmanship.

NY team was lucky to go semifinal directly without playing game and got LA (Most old age player and they don't have reserve) in semifinal.

It was very funny semifinal game between Team United and Dallas. There was fight between Dallas players during game.

Dallas plays twice with Team United. Nebraska soccer forfeit at last moment. Their player played from Dallas.

It was wonderful soccer and Basketball venue. It was best sports facility among any ANA convention.

Sports organizer tried their best. CUDOS to them.

DC is winner of ANA 2004, Basketball and Phoenix is runner up. NY and Nebraska was semifinalist.

Two women Basketball team. Nebraska is new women Basketball champion. Dallas is runner up.

It is worth to watch Nepathya. They are really good. Sounds systems were also very good.

One more...

Next year's ANA will NOT be in East cost...

ANA was so much fun even though it was over 100 degress.

DJ party was so much fun. All the songs they played were great and everyone enjoyed it a lot. DC Basketball team were the first ones to go up to the dance floor and basically they just started the party. By the end everyone was dancing and no one wanted to leave.

Nepathya was great, loved all their songs. They showed 2 music videos at the begining and that was wonderfu and it just got everyone excited. Their show was almost 2 hours long and everyone kept dancing from the start till the end.

Didn't get a chance to go to the soccer game but Basketball was great. Ritesh and Prakash got MVP. DC won both Soccer and Basketball. Other teams were good too and everyone played well.

There was about 500 people but everyone who came enjoyed. It was not as big as the other convention but it was sure lot of fun.

Actually,

Referee had called penalty both times, his hands clearly showed penalty sign, no doubt about that. I was watching with 4-5 NE and Dallas players from the sideline, thatýs what we saw and we all were surprised when Referee changed call to indirect free kick.

I asked sideline Referee, his answer was "After talking to Sweeper (DC), Sweeper was covering just one to one, NO push, Main Referee changed call to indirect free kick". He definitely changed call from penalty to indirect free kick (for sure).

I would not comment on whether foul was enough to call penalty both times even though Referee clearly had called penalty both times before he talked to dc players but looking at the circumstance how DC had been awarded penalty for small foulý..there is no questions that both kick should be awarded penalty kick. In that case, game could go either side, most likely NY. I would say this yearýs Real ANA champion is NY even through officially lucky DC won game.

BTW, This year ANA final was brilliant game and no question about that and hope to see game like this next year.

First of all, no any referee will be influence or intimidate by any player or team. That has been misunderstanding. Referee didn't awarded penalty. I think this is endless claim in between two parties with their prospective. Unless real person (referee) verify. By the way, you can do that through organizer.


Second, DC doesn't have to be lucky. They have proven last four year by winning championship. As far as I know, they are in final all the time in ANA soccer history. Having said that, there is no doubt that NY is good team this year. It was how you play. I think DC play smart soccer by playing defensive game after one goal lead. If you talk about luck, NY was lucky to get bye to get semi-final and they got LA (all of us know what type of team LA were). It was DC that has to play three days twice with Dallas add Nebraska/Kansas player on semi-final.

No one mentioned anything about refree being influenced....wrong signals and change of decisions... definately. No verification is required...becasue histroy is not gonna change...u gotta live with it.

Actually "Lucky" was the work you used for NY, your underestimation of the NY deserves a laudation..Any team could have gotten a bye just so happened it was NY. Brother, just remember histroy changes and will....But again, DC had good players and good sportsmanship...it was only a controversial win. But a win's a win...what u gonna do..right?

Bahadur977 seems like a qualified refereee..knew no one who read/knew the rules...i never have read those rules...practically learn it while watching and playing the game..the best way to learn i guess ..:o)...

but still got one question....(haven read the rules yet..hehe..) how can it be a indirect free kick inside the penalty box..when it was a foul? a foul is a foul..no matter how big or small it is..if the referee blows his whistle when a foul is committed inside the penlaty box(for the attacking team) well that should be a penalty...straight and clear..well someone pls explain to me why it shouldnt be..only way of getting an indirected free kick in a penalty box was i thought...if its a back pass or...if the keeper breaks the 6 seconds rule...dyam who was the refeeree??though i wasnt there..seems like he was intimidated...pretty strange decisions...that too twice :o|....this final is gonna be debated for yrs hehehe....

Well, I have never underestimation of the NY Soccer team. In my each posting, I have stated NY is good soccer team.

Good thing is...Both team has shown good sportsmanship on and off the field.

Yeah, win is win...

The fact is, there will be always controversial when two good team play and score is close (with referee's decision is factor on wining and loosing).
