I am here in US going to get my Associate degree this first semester of 2011. I am thinking to move to Australia for my bachleor. Do anyone knows how the educational transfer gets processed. Do I have to go back to Nepal for the process/visa or straightly apply to any of the colleges in Aus and then go to Aus straightly from here. A wise highlight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Its  very good decision armanicode . Australia offers many benefits over US of A.

basically Australian university are ok with credit transfer but most credit sare from electives so you may still have to do core subjects .Also most of the time maximum credit transfer is about 8 subjects ( 1 year).

You can apply in USA, no need to go to Nepal. You can still make documents ( ie financial and other document) from Nepal and apply in USA.

Any question ? Just post here.

Many many thanks, and yes I do still have some Queries.

Do I have to get new financial documents or can I still use the previous ones.

It is much better and safer to apply from here rather than going to nepal and doing the same. But where will I need to go for that?. US embassay/ Aus embassay or any consultancy or contact the Aus college straightly.

UR reply is of great help for me.

Thank you so much.

Armani.

kalopani

thats right buddy.their minimum wage is more than ours and as u said with the increase in their value, it not bad choice.

another good thing is, students can work off campus like australians but the hours are limited to 20 per week. at least they dont limit international students to on campus work.

bachelors degree is only 3 years and chances of PR are way easier and greater there.

Its kinda sad that after years of schooling is the us most Nepali students end up to the paws of dhoti consultancies and no matter how much they boast to their friends they make about 22 dollars an hour.which is what a kfc worker would make in aus haha. Look at the jobs in acct finance they want five years of exp and they wanna pay 16 bucks an hour.

Yeah I can confirm that AUS is much better for Nepali students. I can proudly say that because I studied in AUS and now live in USA .

Yeah 18 dollars is quite normal . Quite a few Nepalese(few thousand) work as a office cleaner and get average of 30$/Hour  .These days thousands of Nepalese work as a aged care worker and average is about 25/hour. MacDonald and KFC  pay about 17-18 /Hour . Average suburban cafe pays no less 15-16 dollars.

//Do I have to get new financial documents or can I still use the previous ones.//

Yes you have to make new one. Only SBI bank and NABIL are approved for Australia VISA .

//It is much better and safer to apply from here
rather than going to nepal and doing the same. But where will I need to
go for that?. US embassay/ Aus embassay or any consultancy or contact
the Aus college straightly.//

95% Students ( AUS has 500,000 Internation students compared to about 550,000 in US ) apply thru agents when applying for Australia Visa. But you can contact UNIVERSITIES directly first for offer letter and contact high commission or AUS embassy in DC  for visa processing .Please note its quite tricky to apply AUS  visa.

Its better to apply in US cause there are overzealous visa officer in New Delhi and they will reject your visa for no reason.

hope this helps

what I mean tricky is , its not like applying in USA . You put few lakhs rupees in bank and turn up for interview. You need XXX amount to apply for  A course but XXXX amount to B course, so you need to know this before you apply.

All countries in world are divided in class, subclass and levels determined by citizenship. For NEPAL , If you are applying for bachelor degree you are level 3  but if you add diploma before your main course you become level 4, but if you ad English before bachelor you are still level 3.You can add multiple college, universities and english language provider and can still apply for single visa, but you need to know the above method.

The difference is if you are level 3 you only show finance for 2 years, but if level 4, you show for 3 years. Also level 4 can be sponsored by your family only , for level 3 anyone can sponsor you.

Hope this helps
