Very good article indeed. I have always been fascinated by parallels between vedanta and modern physcis. "Tao of Physics" by Capra elaborates the parallels very well.

sir, kasto ramro article..how you have joined lines between our shastras and mordern science is very interesting..and how u have defined Quantum Mechanics is mind catching.. i would like to write down a quote that was stated by Einstein, this quote is so deep ..it draws a fine line between science and nature....he said, "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science". and when you said, "Satya autai hune bhaiko le", it reminded me of a Shlok from Ved that i had read, i would like to paste t that sholk out here.. Ekam Sataha Vipraha bahudha vadanti (satya autai ho tara yehi satya lai bidhwan haru le dherai tarika le bekta garchan) ---i hope i translated it correctly.. at last, i would like to paste another sholk that gives so much importance to our existance.. Asatho Ma Sathgamaya, Thamaso Ma Jyothirgamaya Mruthyorma Amrthangamya nerd, i will definately try to read that article too.. gokul sir, once again, thax for sharing such a wonderful piece out here..

on above topic gokul jee very well research and i have a salutation for u r article and way of experssion thats why i am not using dot here only for your respect. One of the sloks i like and still enchat is Om karam vindu sauktam, nityam dhyam tiyo gina kaam daam mocha daam , chiaba om karaya nama nama which means Om is such a divine point where it comes top of all other point where it stars and ends. It will lead to the one and only salvation where u r unconsiness mind travels .............thats why for such a vast and divine state...i praise and prasie. It is similar to what gopal dai sai about Om and big bang.........for me it is getting clear like crystal water. The strange thing in world is Only om when u pronouce it, it uses u r whole body not the paticular part........like u say ka..it uses throat, when u say ga it uses throat and chest........but when u say om it vibes in entire body.........and i have been hypnotised after hearing om nama sibaya continously for 5 minutes.. Do u also know they are now saying actually shiva may be oringinated from uzbakista.......whrere there is a evidence of ppl living on 9000 bc and they have a mention of kiva........and his pic has been found..........May be kiva was pronouced as shiva when he arrived in himalyan where he was found of parvati daughter of king himalaya...........so he decided to settle down in kailash parvat after wards..

Highly appreciable scholarly work Gokul Ji, well-done! I am very infrequent visitor of this site because the site is magically mind perturbing, and I love to dwell in peace :), tiny little ripple in mind is enough for the perturbation. Moreover time has made me its slave too. As I read this article, my silly mind asked me to post something, I shouted at it to shut it up. It urged me time and again, I wrote and deleted more than four times, I guess. After a good fighting, I thought it may benefit someone, so here I am. I donýt know whether you will appreciate or not, my pre apology for any mistake. You always come up with some topics that enchant me, may me, may be there is something common between us :)? Most of the time it happened we went parallel, perhaps this time too; I might have comprehended reality differently :), please be open minded. I know it is very hard to accept something new, or to change ones own view, but human being is a rational beingýýý You are my respected brother, I salute your scholarly work, you will always remain respected, I am not arguing with you, which is against of my nature, but healthy discussion may benefits you, me as well as readers. So, here I goýý.. I appreciate what you said, science and Dharma are not enemy, rather friends. Science deals with the object outside and Dharma deals with something inside. If you investigate outside world you are scientist and if you investigate inside you are a Yogi. Let me go to the point, do Adwait Vedanta, which is great philosophy of consciousness ie mind, and Quantum Mechanics which is closest truth for subatomic particles ie matter, have something similarity? Adwait = A + Dwait = No + Two = only one. What contest Adwait word was used? Adwait had been backbone of Shankaracharyaýs teaching. It is found in literature that 1200 years ago, Shankar went debating with then scholars to establish the concept of Adwaita, and it is said he got Digvijaya, world victory. This was the time when polluted Buddhism was prevailed in Indiaan subcontinent, most of the people didnýt know the way to reach ultimate truth, and they just debate and give different logics to prove their view. Concept of Dwita = two was also there, this means the creator (Pramatma) and creature (Atma) are tow different things. In another word, the consciousness and super consciousness are two different, or the God and soul are two different, this is the concept of Dwita. Adwaita challenge this concept, it says, no sole and God are same, super consciousness is itself a consciousness, Atma is just a projection of Pramatma. Atma and Paramatma are Adwaita ie one. ýTatwo Masiý, I am the one who you are ie one and only one consciousness. ýAham Brahmasmiý, I am the God, the super consciousness. A single soul is declaring that it is a god ie sole and god are same. Now, I have a question, why there was argument between Dwita and Adwaita? Whether those who were arguing, were some bookish thinkers playing philosophical games or they were real Yogis, this need to be understood. If they were thinkers playing just intellectual games, I am an idiot to talk about them. I donýt believe on ýBade Bade Jayete Tatvo Bodhaý, ie debate produce something substantial, no way. I believe on ýBibadang Vayeto Diswa Abibadang Cha Kshametoý, one has to fear from debate and should see welfare on non-debating. True, fact is fact, truth is truth which should be experienced, can not be debated. If they were Yogis, who has experienced Dwata or Awaita, it is interesting. Truth is one, ýEko Satyaý, how come it is Dwaita for one and Adwaita for other? Perhaps they couldnýt see the final truth, this can be one fact. I have heard and read about 8 absorption Samadhiý s of Vaidic era. In 5th Samadhi, which is called Vigyanayantayan = Vigyan + Ananta + Ayatan = consiousness + infinite + space, ie yogi spread his consciousness to unlimited, this is called Mahaggat Chitta, and such yogis get declares that the final truth, ie god is himself, Aham Brahmasmi, because his consciousness is spreading infinitely. This is one confusion, I have heard that such confusion comes right from the 1st Samadhi to 8th Samadhi. Yogis at different stages declared the truth differently. Well this is just my bookish knowledge , I havenýt experience those Samadhis thatýs why I donýt want to talk about these, this is just my guess. My point is suppose that is the final truth, it is Dwaita for someone and Adwaita for someone, have anyone pointed out the way to reach Dwaita or Adwaita? If the path is clear to reach either Dwaita or Adwaita, what for the path? Just to quench the curiosity? It doesnýt make any sense? I read Vedanta with commentaries of Jayadayal Goyandaka, I couldnýt figure it out whether it is the product of intellectual practice or cream of inner exploration. There is no path given to reach Dwaita or Adwaita.

As you said science is the explanation of the experimental facts of outer materialistic world, you are absolutely right. Quantum mechanics were developed, mainly by Heisenberg to explain some experiments that couldnýt be explained by well established classical mechanics. For the first time, Bohr mixed Plankýs quantum theory with classical mechanics to explain Hydrogen spectra, and could explain successfully to some extent. Well established wave theory of light became insufficient to explain some experiments like photoelectric effect and Campton effect. Such experiments could easily be explained by particle theory of light ie they must consider light as quanta = particle, instead of wave. How come? Quanta canýt explain the experiments like, interference, diffraction and polarization, to explain these experiments light must behave like wave. So scientists were/are bound to take light as wave as well as particle, this is wave particle duality. This universe is made up of two things, one is matter and another is energy. Energy is electromagnetic radiation ie light which has wave particle duality, somewhere wave nature is predominant and somewhere particle. So, DeBroglie, thought counter way, how about matter? Matter is made up of three fundamental particles, electron, proton, and neutron. If energy which is known as wave can behave as particle, then these particles which are known as particles can behave as wave. He proposed a theory on this and later proved (all electron microscopes works according to this principle) that electron, proton and neutron also behaves like a wave, and they also show dual nature of wave and particle. So, scientists declared that ýthe entire universe is nothing but waveletsý. True, the experiment shows that energy is wave and matter, which is composition of three fundamental particle is also a wave, entire universe doesnýt contain other than energy and matter. Now, what Vedanta says about this? Vedanta says only about consciousness, doesnýt say anything about matter is not true, it says something. Vedanta says body is motionless, Jad. Body which is matter, made of more or less 95 natural elements, mainly Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Calcium contains nothing but electrons, protons and neutrons. All these electrons, protons and neutrons are wave, so can wave be motionless? Can it be Jad? Donýt give logic to me, according to quantum mechanics it is wave, which is experimental fact, but according to Vedanti Rishi (or philosopher????) it is motionless thing. Big contradiction, one who has done experiment in inner direction could have seen this body as wavelet, which is the fact. So either you have to accept Vedanta or quantum mechanics, they says just opposite things. ýPragyapti Sthapitva Vishesena Passatiý, apparent truth should be seen as it is to see the real truth, the solid material outside is apparent truth, the reality is wavelets. Regarding consciousness, quantum mechanics will always remain silence because it only deals with matter and its nature. (I knowingly hided the material of this paragraph, this was only for open minded highly intersted explorers :)) Name of those scientists you have counted who knew Vedanta donýt seem to have significant contribution on Quantum mechanics. Credit solely goes to Heisenberg for the development of quantum mechanics. His friend Pauli has side contribution. Dirac and Schrýdinger wrote quantum mechanics in different language, Dirac wrote in the form of Bra and Ket, where as Schrýdinger wrote in the form of wave function. Regarding Schrýdingerýs Cat, it is a paradox of quantum mechanics :). This thought experiment violets the quantum mechanics. There are some paradoxes like this which violet highly sophisticated theories, like twin paradox violets the relativity theory. Please correct mistakes yourself and read it. I have written this for the welfare of open minded friends. I think I have written enough for couple of months :). Vishowntar

Of course moneyminded, sajha has never been short of interesting topics. It's jsut that time and again issues get toppled this way and that (figuratively speaking... u know), then they are dead. I'm always for well cited research-based discussions when it comes to topics like these. It's fun and a learning experience as well, not that I don't get a kick out of light hearted discussios! One more thing... the above poster's name is Vishontar not Vishnuavtar (you weren't being sarcastic as usual i hope?...:-) Don't forget to post when you do find the origin of Shiv or his khandan. Uzbekistaan? Atlantis? Sounds interesting but do cite the sources/refereces to verify your statements. Goood Luck there! SofT

VISHONTAR, ratti aiera balla i got to read ur post, it was very interesting.. apparent truth should be seen as it is to see the real truth, the solid material outside is apparent truth, the reality is wavelets.. by stating that, what is truth?? i really dont get it, is truth what our senses prcesive us to belive, or is truth something to search for..hehe i dont know if i asking you this question in the right direction..but i certainly, liked your article and i respect ur thoughts..please dont take one long month to post another message, i am eager to learn..thax for such comforting and mind puzzling post..thax again L_B, lets not pollute this beautiful thread..if you really want to say something, please state in Sitara's Musing thread, i will gladly answer your question..i am again sorry if i have disrespected u in any way..lets leave this post alone....thank u ..

Vishontar, Enjoyed your postings up there. However, In your fifth paragraph, you declare that The Twin paradox violates The Theory of relativity. That is false. The twin paradox is is in perfect agreement with the General theory of relativity (not the special theory of relativity) which is for all frames of reference(accelerating or inertial).

I am waiting eagerly for the discussion to continue. I am looking forward to Gokuls response to Vishontars queries. Aatma and Paramatma. Dwait and Adwait. Wavelets and Jad. I am God and I and God. Contradictions... contradictions. I wonder why yogis don't have one experience - the one and ultimate truth? My mind did quite a number of somersaults while reading the above two write ups...:-) Still waiting... SofT
