It all starts when you go back to Nepal after a while and families start pitching in their opinions about YOUR marriage. And there's no looking back. You dont want to marry a guy from Nepal because you think different; you dont want to marry a guy from here because the ones around you are either arrogant (if they have made a little money) or useless (cause they dont know where they're going). The third kind is yet to find. What do you do? I hope a lot of girls using this forum have similar dilemmas...

Acharya, I havent seen girls as arrogant or as desperately 'I dont know where I'm going' type, may be cause I wasnt looking at girls. But believe me, if you dont fall on either kind, you fall on the one that sits his ass there and gruntles 'oh you think you know wchich one of the two you fall under?' :)

This is from my previous posting...... I think you have missed this one........ Also, I have some questions at the end, Try to answer it, you will find ans..... Some people are fortunate to find love by chance. And later, swear up and down that it was fate. Some people are foolish enough to fall in love at first site. And later, swear up and down they were drunk. And for some people, niether of the two ever happens. The reasons maybe many but we are not here to discuss those reasons. Love. Is it worth more if it finds you or if you find it? We as Nepalis have been transplanted into a world that make us home sick within our own home. We show our sickness through imitating the life styles of Nepalis in the motherland. Sul jips and room salons. Its not a Nepali invention but we sure act like it is. In the days of the old western frontiers, men resorted to going to Saloons where saloon women sat around them and gave them the comforts of womanly company. Men resorted to mail order brides and occassionally resorted to taking on an indian woman. Such is the portion of the American population today. The sons and daughters of the frontier. We Nepali men are no different than those men of the old US western frontier. Our parents came to the US and worked hard to build a Pondarosa and as the three sons of Mr. Cartwright did, we also look for brides. The luxury of having a girlfriend is not an option when you are dealing with such desperate situations. The luxury of knowing who you marry is not available for those who didn't reserve a seat in the first class section of life. So my advice to the younger people is..... Don't feel desperate. Don't feel rushed. Don't rely on time or fate. Its ok to go looking. Its ok to admit that there is very little chance. Its ok to try other people's suggestions. Don't be quick to marry or be presured by time restraints. Make every encounter a meaningful one. Love is blind and if you see TOO much in some one, you are not in love. Knowing a person to love that person is different than knowing that person to trust him/her. Chemistry is important but if you've been on your 100th date and you just can't seem to feel chemistry with anybody, then you might want to lower your expectations. Love sometimes comes instantly and sometimes it comes with time. And it goes away just as quick and slow. But friendship lasts forever. Questions: 1 What is normal age to settle down?? 2 Have you looked enough that you claim you didn't find your type?? 3 What are your types anyway?? Good luck!

okie for the gals above aisha and dc.......................so u r prob is the marriage..........hey listen up it is not only your view for guys but look at guys view to nepali gals................... 1. i cant marry young nepalese gal coz they have to many things to acomplished and they have more desire than my. 2. i have seen funtime in life, enjoyment and all those stuff and i dont want to marry from nepal and spoil my life 3. we are not looking for any conservative gal saying hajur hajur and touch our feet 4. we dont want to be with nepali gal coz they " tauko maa tekcha" 5. nepali gals are like" baccha sochera kaadh maa bokyo tara pisab garcah" 6. nepali gals are cold in bed, no oral sex , no foreplay ..............boring 7. Even the nepali gal living aboard...........they are too much forward or too laid back 8. If they are too forwaed forget about it....................u will end up in asharam 9.If they are too backward then u will end up in Mandir 10. conclusion is who wants to marry nepali gal it is our parents who are forcing.......................................thats why if i have to marry , i will marry for my mother and father only.......... 11. i will have my second vietnamese wife here.............no problem.......... 12...........i will tell her the truth though before marriage.

DC_Girl, Tell me something about yourself. Let's say, you met someone, what do you ask? But you have only limited time. If you want to judge some guy in 10 minutes, how do you do? (From quick dating tricks) Please, be precise...........

Gorkhali ji, I'm not trying to ignore nepali guys and go look for khaires...i wouldnt be whining about not finding nepali guys then in Sajha. And if you dont know where you're going up to this age, (whatever it is, since I guess most ppl chatting in this forum are beyond their teens), may be there's something wrong. Hell, i mean, you're more american than i thought i was. First, I had a preconcieved notion that when Nepalese come to the US, they come with a purpose. May be not. Yeah, I've seen a lot of native chics getting wasted. And guys too. But i guess not everyone wants to roam around in their little worlds of what to cook tonite and where to find chics/guys to hang out with. When you're busy with stuff and you take a break to look around you, you'll see the same ppl who are still within their small worlds of what to cook! Thats not me. Romanticated, its hard to like/dislike someone in 10 minutes- but if you want me to lay out my priorities- I want someone who thinks big; who doesnt get lost in small wonders. of course you hang out with ppl and have fun, but thats not the purpose. someone who stumbles over little things in life can never achieve anything big. looks, how he dresses, what he eats, whether he can lure girls in the bar is secondary. I might sound Nerdy, but hey, whatever you blabber about in this forum, that you want a COOL chic/guy, someone who brings you flowers, someone who is good in bed, someone who is outgoing, has a dashing personality- all that will boil down to chicken shit after you realize that you have to work harder to make living after marriage...

OK Ladies: To put things straight you will most likely get married to someone Nepali( sorry aisha being single won't be your option as the family pressure will make you do things you dont want to ) Anyway my point is lets be little open to the options here. If yall are looking for MR.perfect then I say..dream on. As far as I know life is all about compromises and even if you find someone you don't think is perfect then its ok...there are tons of room to improve I guess..Like my boy Acharya said..." it doesn't hurt to thing outside of the box"...Having said that all Nep brothas/sistas don't fit that same stereotype that has been constantly thrown around here...I for one believe that everyone is different and you just cant put label on someone... Nep females have equal flaws here in US..as male..if not more..I see those wannabe sex divas jumping around craving for attention..but that doesnt mean I categorize them in 3 groups lol..as of today I know you just cant categorize poeple when it comes to character...each one of us represent one distinctive character..nothing more nothing less..... Btw, to all those ladies/females who complain that Nepalis arent good enough..then go find something that fits you. Dont complain cuz its not worth it..seriosuly its not..do stuffs that make u happy...enuff said lol

I dont know in which category do I fall in (according to DC_girl's defination) but if I were to judge myself I believe I fall in Category 4 (not the Category 4 hurricane). Afer practically having the experience of finding myself with "never dreamed of" relationships in the past both in the US and Canada in a span of last three years I believe I can make myself comfortable with any girl with any mindset. I fell in with one moderate Nepali Christian girl, next with a right wing hardcore American Christian girl, then with a moderate Bangladeshi Muslim girl and again with Tibetan Muslim girl while I'm a liberal center-left Buddhist guy. Now I have begun to consider that may be I should go straight to a Nepali village, find a village girl and immediately get married to her. This could be another great experience. Anyway give me your opinion about my "Category" according to your viewpoint.
