Pakistan is at least in our vicinity. More than a decade ago, I saw slogans on the walls outside the Supreme Court demanding the release of the leader of the Shining Path maoist guerrillas in PERU!!!

And it is certainly not the first time Nepalese "buddhijiwi yuva janashakti" have protested against anti-democratic movements in Pakistan. Flashback to 2036 saal when I was just in the second grade, Nepalese student groups (I don't remember whether it was the Akhil or Ne-Bi-Sa) protested the military coup by General Zia Ul Haq leading to lathicharge by our baton-happy police force that ultimately resulted in "Chattis Saal Ko Andolan". Maybe we will see new "Jana Andolan" all over again.
