I always said may be the objective was good but the path adopted was bad.In one of the thread "Terrorism" . My judgement of maoists is that they have bred the culture of violence throughout the country. 1990 democracy can not be blamed for encouraging corruption,rather it gave people power to raise their voice against corruption. Democracy is a self-healing method of ruling where in the parties and leaders with black record are thrown by people. Maoist along with some royalists, took advantage of the weaknesses of the newly sprouted democracy, blamed politicians and the political system for not meeting peoples's aspirations. Had the maoist taken a constructive role during that period, the country wouldnot have tattered to the dirty shape we are witnessing today.

The question was very simple, do you still consider that Maoist have contributed in the welfare of people, now that the armed struggle by Maoist has ended (at least for now)? How happy are the people? Are they now satisfied with Maoist or the Nepal Govt.? Do you consider JTTM and Tigers and cobras as freedom fighter and support their cause? If you do then are you ready to divide Nepal for the freedom fighters? I didn’t get the answer. As everyone has their cause. Come to think of it, why not give Terai a separate country?

I had written several times a year ago that everyone will start demanding with arms and this is what’s happening .Even if Maoist are in power .The culture of violence will never end .The cycle will go on. One of the after affects of Maoist revolution is giving birth to armed revolution culture in Nepal. How do you think Maoist will suppress this culture by using force again!! Killing Nepalese. Here people gave examples of revolution of Countries like China and similar ones, how much of Human rights is there? How much of freedom do they enjoy? If you are comparing the revolution of China in this context. Do you think there are no more poor and peasants in China? If Maoism was so successful, why is there millions of poor in China? Are they equal now? What kind of policy is there to eradicated poverty? Isn’t rich in China getting richer creating an income gap as in Nepal? What happened even after 30 years in China? How is it any different than Nepal? You see the progress of china right now but what about the poor in China? Weren’t they the ones fighting with Mao against “Tyrant or Bourgeois”? It is time for evaluation. I will write later what we gained and what we lost and what we are going to lose .Again remember this after a year or two. Only now can we dream of Real 'Inclusive Democracy'- that include not only men but women, that include not only' bahun' politicians(that means end of anti-bahunism) but people from all the community,in the admin not only those who are close to Darbar not all who deserve(that means end of 'chakarism') .This in large will automatically broaden Nepalese Mind...nepalese communities will eventually learn to live in harmony...equally share the responsilbilites as well as blames.

I am a Swiss national and practice Buddhism. I have been to Lumbini, Nepal, the birth place of Siddharta Gautama and other places like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lukla, Gorkha and several Himalayan regions, many times. I love Nepal the way Nepalese do. The reason I have so much affection towards Nepal may be because my professor and mentor, the late Tony Hagen, renowned economist and very popular with Nepalese people, loveed Nepal more than his own country, Switzerland. He never tired of talking about Nepal. Though I am a native of Zurich, the German speaking city of Switzerland, I am currently residing in Rue de Rhone (Rhone lane or avenue) of Geneva, the French speaking part of the Swiss confederation. I have been here three years because of my employment contract with the Swiss Bank, "Credit Suisse". All of Switzerland's major banks are located within walking distance. It is the reason most of the employees of different banks come to a very popular eatery, "cafe de Geneve" to have their breakfast and lunch. At these times, we always try to outsmart our colleagues and friends of different banks by initiating a very hot or new item of talk. Swiss tradition is that whoever has a new or very hot topic is considered to be a smarter than the others. But the topic should be genuine and authentic. Anyone can lose his or her image for a whole lifetime if he or she tells an unreliable story. So, the Swiss people have a habit of speaking based on authenticity. Very recently, we were all outsmarted by our friends at another bank. I was particularly shocked because the topic was related to Nepal, my dream country and by faith my mother country because Buddhism was born in Nepal. The very hot item of talk was so shocking that if the people of Nepal listened to it, they would have a million watt electric shock. The leaders of the Maoist Party including ministers of the present Nepal Government, namely, Prachanda (Pushpa K. Dahal), Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Krishna Mahara, Hishila Yami and others were here to transfer a huge amount of money from Indian Banks to major Swiss Banks. The amount of that money is even more shocking because it is in the hundreds of million Euros. If the people of Nepal ask the Swiss Government, it can influence the Swiss Banks for the disclosure of the amounts and the account holders. For my part, as a person having deep affection towards Nepal, I will do my best to find things in details but the Nepali people should understand my limitations as an Assistant Manager. The Nepali people should ask the Swiss Government to freeze the money as soon as possible otherwise the Swiss politicians could be bribed by the Banks to keep the Bank's secrecy. It has also been said that some European Union members are helping the Maoists to transfer money to Swiss Banks. Why are the capitalist western countries helping extremist radical Maoists is beyond my understanding which could be a good subject of research for the people of Nepal. It gave me a chance to see the fight between Nepal Army vs Maoists. It used to be an imagination, but I got the first hand access to this raw unedited clip. The conclusion is certainly different on which side you stand, but a couple of clips are worth watching in order to feel how these people died in this "war". A picture speaks 1000 words.

They have absolutely no vision. They are even bigger tyrant than the king. These so called namarda YCL guys even entered padma kanya campus and beat the girls. The YCL gunda are threatning and beating people without any fear because they know they have blessing of maoist leaders in govenment. Thats why they are still defending the act of YCL.

PRANCHADE is now openly claiming he wants to be president of Nepal in 2 years. so the ulterior motives of these maoist leaders are very clear. All the killings and war for last 11 years for him was just to become president. They are the one who have recurited the minors in their army. And minors have not gone to maoist army by choice. Most of them were forced to join the maoist army.

They have Beheaded and killed the teacher right in front of student, they have burnt 4 year old girl, they have burnt the public bus and killed around 40 innocent life at chitwan, they have amputated numerous people just for thinking they are a spy. Nothing can justify their act.

Behold the time will come when pranchada and co. will be swept away by all the tears.

Terai extremists are terrorists:

A senior leader of Maoists has said that the state needs to treat Terai extremists as terrorists.
"The government should not hold dialogue with parties that want to split the country. They should be termed terrorists and strong action taken against them," said Chandra Prakash Gajurel aka Gaurav.

The strong remark by Maoist politburo member and chief of its international relations cell has come in the wake of appeal for dialogue with Terai groups made by Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula.

"We are doubtful how the dialogue will be helpful in resolving the problem when many of Terai groups are openly claiming that they will now hold talks only to divide the country," Gajurel said.

Home Minister Sitaula had appealed to 'Madhesi Janadhikar Forum, factions of JTMM and other groups' to come for dialogue within two weeks following which, he warned, the government would be compelled to take strong actions in order to create proper environment for Constituent Assembly elections.
