What are the pros and cons for getting NRN card?
I need a work authorization to work for us companies remotely from Nepal?

Just saw this article that says there are 75 k US citizens and 187k green card holders ( also could benefit from this niyamabali if they want to natruralize )and this is only in the USA. There are probably more if not close to these numbers of former Nepalis in Europe and Australia.

Thanks for sharing ehho2 and keeping this thread alive, it will be interesting to see niyamawali whether it will cheers or disappoint Nepali around the world. Lets wait and see. Probably lots of Nepali will semi move to live in Nepal if this new nagarikta allows to live a normal life without any legal challenges like visa, work permit, buying or getting inheritance properties without getting spiraled into govt bureaucracies.

Will niyamawali clarify what kind of rights this new NRN nagarikta holder will have? I was under impression niyamawali is only a guideline on how to issue these to NRN applicants.

Exact rights of new NRN nagarikta holder will still be gray area for sometime unless some lawsuits start popping up, and court starts clarifying those or house passes law to clearing further. But regardless they can’t be involved in political process and be govt employee. Everything else seems to be in table.

Take it for whats its worth- Saw on tiktok of Engineer Jeet Saafi who is also a citizenship activist that he was told by Home Ministry the Niyemawali being presented to the cabinet to ratify on Bhadra 5 (Aug 22nd).

Is there a link to the TikTok? how do current NRN card holders get affected by the niemawali? do they get citizenship automatically? hopefully thinks will be clearer in the coming days as there has been a lot of confusion about implementation of the niyemawali and it has been going on for a while now...

Will the registration of the new organization UNDO to compete with NRNA have any bearing on this ? I believe those two are just NGOs - my understanding is that he NRN card or citizenship will be issued by foreign ministry or embassies and are official and have nothing to do with the NGOs named NRNA and UNDO. Can someone confirm?

You are right NRNA is non government organization but approved by Nepal Govt and has authentication from Nepal govt to carry out programs hand by hand with Nepal govt. NRN card is issued by Nepal Govt via Nepal embassy and has nothing to do with NRNA organization, where as NRNA card is issued by NRNA organizations(non govt). If Kul Acharya is culprit then it’s like Do what we say , Not as what we do, punch in the face of people who gave up their nepali nagarikta legally, while guy like him who advocate NRNs all around world haven’t gave up Nepali Nagarikta and ask other to take NRN cards. I have seen few of his videos where he ask people to take NRN cards.
