Nepal leaders seek India's support in fight for democracy

Seeking India's moral support in their struggle to restore democracy in Nepal, some of its political leaders today demanded elections for a constituent assembly in the Himalayan Kingdom and holding of talks to resolve the Maoist menace.

However, they were divided on abolition of monarchy in Nepal.

Urging India to halt military aid to Nepal, they said the Maoist insurgency problem could be tackled through dialogue.

"India should stop giving military aid to Nepal as it would only help the King consolidate his hold on the Himalayan Kingdom," Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala said at a seminar 'Crisis in Nepal' in New Delhi.

Observing that the reasons behind the Maoist resurgence were political, economic and social, Nepal Sadbhavna Party (A) leader Rajendra Mahto said the insurgency problem could be solved only through talks and not military action.

Mahto's colleague Hridayesh Tripathi said "the King did not want to get rid of the Maoist problem but wants to keep it going to get foreign aid." Claiming that King Gyanendra was "inspired" by Pakistan President Gen Pervez Musharraf, he said "the monarch may spring up a new constitution for the Himalayan Kingdom under the garb of development." Dictatorship in Nepal would be "bad" for India, said Sujata, the daughter of former Premier Girija Prasad Koirala, who fled her country earlier this week.

"We want an elected constituent assembly which should have the powers to decide the future of Nepal," she said adding abolition of monarchy should be the goal of any political movement.

No Premdai, they didn?t talk anything about those buffaloes.
Let?s not highlight Girija and her daughter, as we know how much corrupt they were. If you recall the Gupta kand, when he was information minister, how much money they made from commission. NTC sold NRs. 3000 worth Nortel mobile phone at 32000, you can guess how much they had made. The most corrupted leaders who are known as Girija ko char badar (khum bahadur, govinda, gachhedar and gupta), they were dancing on the direction of one Baderni, who was Sujata Koirala. And, I think Koirala it self is not everything of Nepali congress, there are few more leaders whom you can trust. I think, Ram Chandra, Dr. Mahat, Ram Baran, Mahanta Thakur, Shailja Acharya, Narahari, Mahesh Acharya etc are few of them and why only them, why don?t some among us take part in politics. As we see here, there are so many deshbhakta, why don?t we show our deshbhakti by returning to Nepal and getting involved in politics. Unless educated people wants to take part in politics, politics of Nepal not going to change. Let's think about it.

Please maintain democratic thought in sajha, everybody has same right to write and speak. This is not the place for gaali galaouja and don?t make any thread so cheap. Some people who didn?t like democracy they support king?s move and people who know the panchayat kaal and involved in 2046 revolution; they oppose it. It is natural thing, as far as I am concerned, I oppose it and I think I have right to oppose it. I have faith in democracy and I don?t want to lose that faith just due to few corrupted leaders. Here is one modified but macthing the situation poem from some where.

O flag of our Union,
To you we'll be true,
To your red background,
And your sun and moon on the blue;
The emblem of freedom,
The symbol of right,
We children salute you,
O flag fair and bright!

As far, I know, we can count very few good Nepalese leaders, but we have numerous crook leaders in Nepal. All human kinds love to have peace, democracy, fun, and romance and have a good life. However, fact is only reality that we have to take a part and that story of the part is not funny or fun, imagination, or dream. We have to take it, no other choice.

I mean that is not correct to say that Nepal and Nepalese problems cause by very few bad leaders.

(1) Constitution, Law, Order, Rule and Regulation are dead because we have more than 90% corrupted leaders or government officials in Nepal.
(2) Smuggling, Girl Traffkking, Corruption and Crimes are out of control because we have more than 90% corrupted leaders or government officials in Nepal
(3) Nepal has the highest unemployment rate, climbing high market price, poor population high, over night rising buildings in Kathmandu valley because we have more than 90% corrupted leaders or government officials in Nepal.
(4) Democracy of Nepal is dead several times, because we have more than 90% corrupted leaders or government officials in Nepal.
(5) Maoist Revolution born because we have more than 90% corrupted leaders or government officials in Nepal.
(6) King sacked the constitution and Nepal because we have more than 90% corrupted leaders or government officials in Nepal.

Conclusion: If we have few bad politicians, leaders, ministers, people and government officials, we must not have these kind of serious problems in Nepal. We can take care few crooks, It is hard to take care when many crooks. That is way we have arms struggle in Nepal.
