I donot understand that why do I have to get a visa to go to Nepal where I was born and raised. Where I was taught how to talk and walk. Where I went to school, have many friends and relatives. Why? Why? Why do I have to get a visa to go to Nepal?

Why would you need a visa to Nepal unless you were a citizen of nepal?

are u nepali citizen ? or something else....if you are not nepali citizen or had changed ur citizenship...u definitely need visa i think. I don't know why u even asked this question ? just curious....

I was Nepali citizen but not anymore.But it is funny or stupid to go back home to see my mom, I have to obtain visa.

why do you need to deteriorate your nepali citizenship. if you wanna go back to nepal without obtainig visa, its pretty easy just cancel your foreign national citizenship.

It is clearly stated in the citizenship act of nepal, that once you decide to relinquish your nepali citizenship, you relinquish all your rights that a nepali earns. You sick stupid fool... you left your Nepal.. jaisi karni waisi bharni.. do not ever return to nepal.. forget your mother, father, friends and the country.. you enjoy your dreams wherever you are... ok...

BBC: If you have relinquished your Nepali passport (thus citizenship, you are required a visa like any other non-Nepalese passport holder. If you live in the US, you can mail your passport or visit in person at one of the three consulates (NY, DC, Chicago).

Alternatively, you can apply for visa at the KTM airport (immigration desk), but make sure you have exact change, or expect the officials to retain the change as a generous "tip" from the firangi.
