Thank you all, Looks like no agency wants to help her until she had SSN. If somebody can give in some detail, how they got the help with no SSN, I will be grateful. Thanks

She can go to any health center in the county .They cannot turn her away. If they ask for SSN ,she can tell them she doesnot have one. And also apply for WIC assistance.

Hi Go to the nearest community based services and they will help you get medicaid. Take your income proof/pay stub and address verification (utility bill). You moron still don't know how to find it? Google the Texas Cabinet for Women and Children. Note down the phone no. to contact to collect necessary information. They should also have addresses for different local offices where you can contact the nearest one. SSN is not necessary for medicaid if you can prove you are legally here. Besides your pregnant wife has an American baby, so both will be covered no matter what so long as you proletarian destitute can't make enough to support her and the baby medically even though you know how to make babies. Let me know if you still can't figure out all this. Maybe then you don't deserve to be a father! good luck.

Damn.........you pinched me lonely1......... I am going through the most stressful time of my life..........and god is giving me the new life to take care of..............(well I am not blaming to god for baby..........but he does everything.......I believe). I thought I was a very planned man......but everything is breaking apart. Any way........DHS (Is that Texas Department of Health and Human Services) straightway said no SSN, no medicaid, unitil the baby is here. I dont know how Icanfly went through it, may be I have to go to thier office, withou talking them in phone. I have some hope from WIC, which I didn't try before, due to the disappointment form DHS. Now I am trying to set for an appointment, they are closed on Wed, so for tomorrow. Thanks SS74K, and all. Keep posting guys for new information and I will post finally if the assitance is approved and a photo of baby in February or so..........

Jivan Yatri, Try to contact your county health department. Most of the states provide free materinity services for those with low income. If your income is over their low income level, then you need to think of something else. Also as many people suggested, WIC (Woman Infant Care) is a good help too, besides that every county has some slidding plan for non-resident aliens. For the WIC, all you need to show is your last pay check stuff. Good-Luck and congratulations!!!!

OK, I take the swipe back, Jivan Yatri. I jsut meant to poke some fun at your cost. Here is what you need to do then. I helped a DV winner last year the same way. Find a family health center (FHS) or community health center for regular check up of your wife before she gets the medicaid or something like that. Those centers charge you a sliding fee based on your income. If your income is really low, you will have to pay $12.00 per visit (which is no more than most insurance co-pays, see the good fortune of having low income!). They will also run some tests for free or at significantly low cost. Plus, buy medicines--if need be--at their own or their recommended place and it will be dirt cheap. For the delivery and all the rest, community or public university hospitals will be the best place. They will charge DHS or arrange from charities to cover the bills--again if you have low income with no insurance. Never go to private hospitals, they will charge you fully and send you to collection agency if you don't pay. That way, you can have your baby easily. Plus once the baby is born, s/he will get medicaid if you still have no good income. Let me know if you have any problems. Best of luck. Uhi, lonely1

Introduction Title XIX of the Social Security Act is the legal basis for the Medicaid program. The Texas Department of Health and Human Services (HHSC) administers several programs which provide medical care for: -children who are not eligible for TANF because of income and/or because they do not meet the TANF definition of deprived children. -pregnant women who are not eligible for TANF because of income and/or because they do not have TANF-eligible children. -caretakers, second parents and children who are financially eligible for TANF. -undocumented aliens, nonimmigrants, and some legal permanent residents who meet --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- alll TANF and TANF-related Medicaid eligibility requirements except citizenship. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -youth aging out of foster care. -women with breast or cervical cancer screened and diagnosed by the Breast and Cervical Cancer Control program. -Persons eligible for these programs receive the same Medicaid benefits as TANF recipients. Exception: Coverage for undocumented aliens, nonimmigrants, and some legal permanent residents is restricted to emergency medical conditions. Check this link. http://www.hhsc.state.tx.us/programs/TexasWorks/medicalprograms.html. She can go to health centers for prenatal check up and when the time comes for delivering the baby she can go to the hospital.

Hi everybody, Here is the situation! 1.There is no way I am able to find a medicaid for her without SSN (In TX). I dont know how Icanfly got it. Hey, Icanfly did your wife got the medicaid for prenatal services also or just a delivary. If possible can you provide me contacts or more information. 2. I recieved WIC assitance, but it basically a food stamps, but it will be helpful. 3.Everybody mentioned to go to county hospital and clinics........I know I can go there for general check up for ~$20, but most of the cases they do Sonogram and other stuff and bill goes to hundreds....... In county hospitals for reduced rate services, they need a gold card, and one of the eligibility for it is to show the emigration status. For F-2, they wont give the gold card, because F2, according to the law cannot get any goverment funded help. So please can any body tell me if somebody got help or medicaid for PRENATAL and delivary without having SSN? If yes, please provied me the contact.

Look up on the internet for "Maternal Health and Family Planning clinic" Most of these clinics are designed for low income women in the county.
