Ive been reading his articles, listening interviews in Nepali media for last few years (esp in Himal Media publications). I was little curious to know abt his background, googled and asked few friends and they also asked the same question 'Yes Who is C K Lal?' We all know he is a political analyst who writes in English and Nepali perfectly with his own logic, then speaks in Hindi (I heard him in BBC Hindi service). I wd be glad to know more about him. If u know something, please do share.

On your own words, you are a loser then. Aren't you?
BTW, you meant to write loser not looser, right?

kanchhu, do you think all those professors who stayed in pulchowk until they got retired are the great professors? ha ha ha, I have seen left-out people have escalated very high in their career than those who stayed there forever. Rahulbhai is having well satisfied scholarly life and is managing his time to hang around in sajha. It is a matter of his personal choice. If you imagine, people having respected career do not come to sajha, then you are absolutely wrong. rohitgrg, harka, axara, sheetalb, Camoflaged etc. who appeared on this thread are few examples who have respected career as well.
>>>he was experimenting and trying his luck which he could not suceed<<<< Rahulbhai did neither step in Pulchowk from political connections, nor was trying his luck, as you speculated. He was invited to lecture the courses, for which the M.Sc. Env Engg program of Pulchowk did not have their own faculty. Don't you know about such managerial arrangements?
In addition to that you spit venom to Russian / Indian graduates, Ha ha ha poor boy, do you know more than 50% of faculty in Pulchowk are Russian/Indian graduates? Prajwol, Mohan Aryal (your exemplery figures) are also russian graduates. Huh, you don't know anything. Now, don't try to display your childish stupidity anymore. Other Pulchowkians will feel ashamed.

Harka, i do not know if you went to IOE pulchowk, ask any students how russian teacher are...they will tell you. they sucks man! you might be right pointing out the very first generation of russian product, but let me tell you it is not like that anymore! trust me, most of pulchowk students are victims of russians and part timers due to university politics. And i doubt about this gy too.
I agree you do not have to be professor to be a good teacher, but dude, teaching in MSC is not joke..and just mediocre degree from that part does not give you that extra to feed the hunger of intelligent and smart student. those sort of jer teacher were often embarrased by good bunch of studnet. I have seen those teaher almost peed into their pant. no kidding! Trust if pulchowk is better.. 60% is because it has good quality student and perhaps this why one can outlook some " jerk" teacher. IOE is raknked third in 2000 in asia, outdoing IIT..so you can imagine the caliber of pulchowke.
and fyi, medical council does not recognize degree from russia/ if at all subject to a lot of condition. some of the people who got degree from russia/ or that part are facing hard time getting into the medical council...

Chana, PLP or aryal i am not saying they are the best. What i was implying is they worked hard and earn thier places. I know how good or bad PLP is nor they are my exemplry figure FYI. But they earned their places. fought with the odd! chana..they do not need to come to sajha to say how good they are...at least they are in that position!

No harka, i did not mean to imply that. I also have tremenduous respect for people be those were pHD or those who never been to the school. All i was telling you is some people in the name of IOE, presenting themself as an erudite scholar! this is why i had to write which i had. Thanks, anyway for your comments!

Kanchhu, Rahulbhai mentioned about his lecturing stories only after you blamed him as a russian graduate, or something like that, you even asked him about limit state design, wasn't it?
By the way, going back to OP, have you ever talked with CK lal face to face? or, does CK Lal knows you as much as you know him ?

well chana, when you present your arguements in public forum, you are bound to face good/bad comments based on your arguments, news, analysis. so for that matter do i need to know him personally ? NO, but...yeah it is true he is soft spoken and conduct himself perfectly in gentleman way. Should that mean his political verson should also be right? or correct ? no..
and tomorrow, if i make comment against girija, pls don't ask me like this " hey kanchu!do you know girija?" lol!
Anyway, glad that you are also from pulchowk!
btw, rhlvai, i will love to come to meet you when i go back nepal. I hope you will be there working for nepal govt! you are going back right? please do not file asylum or for green card, nepal needs people like you:-)

I usually write about 5 posts a year in Sajha. After reading
the thread I thought I have to drop a line . I have known Rahulvai since 8th
grade. If I could be half intelligent and patriotic and hard working as
Rahulvai I would say my birth on this planet is worth it. If we had few hundred
Nepalese like Rahulvai our country would be much prosperous and peaceful.
I am feeling that this KANCHU is attacking him in a personal
and biased way and I have to say this to KNACHU---
“KANCHU YOU ARE A FAKING MORON. GET A LIFE.”

Hello rahulvai, hello kanchu and hello everyone,
analyzing other person depends on how your eyes see him and everyone has right to express what, he/she feels. However it does not sound too good to post negative comments against someone in public forum. Everyone might have gone through articles from CKLal's pen and we can analyze ourself.with this thread, not only did i(cant say on others behalf) analyzed CKLal but also who contributed to this posting.
I personally like his articles, but i will not go on arguing with someone who doesnot agree.there is no point in fighting on such minor stuff. as a consequence, one of you two won, how big achievement would that be?? Both of you might talk tirelessly about a person who gives a damn to your debate. If both of you are right, then there is no point in showing you are right.
I know both of you senior to me(in age, experience, academics, etc), i dont know if my words would make any difference. but, i dotnt find any serious flaws in his articles thaet he should be defamed.

Exactly, Not agreeing to his aritcles is one thing which is very valid and we as humans all have our own viewpoint but ridiculing a person who is respected in Nepalese Media is such a degratory act and only losers do such thing.

Kanchu,
Why dont you stop crying? Do you think yourself as a smart enough and other dumb here in the forum? There are 1000s of Pulchowkes here in US and 100s in sajha forum, but I have never seen like you who talks fully on personal matters. You also started talking about 'asylum', 'greencard' , 'DV', 'bad professors' , 'civil service' and others with negtive meaning. Just think twice before blaming somebody regarding his personal achievements and past carrer.
And Rahuldai, please please stop arguing on this matter. It is not the good place to discose your personal matters.

For Kanchu
About Rahul bhai
I personally don't know ab't him but I came to know him from Sajha's thread n from fens too. If I 'm not mistaken, Rahul is S.L C topper and of course did B E from India. probably, he had scholarship from HMG; without that almost impossible to getting there for us. He had passed PSC (Public service commission)(But in my case I cud not passed) exam for the post of Engineer. He has tremendously talent, intelligent and honest on his profession. He should have been in high post for better Nepal. I can say, He is a guy not less than B. bhattrai. He was in IOE as inviting Prof. that means he should have had Knowledge ab't on that subject. At last not least, He is the best n always not like you n me.He is far -far better than us( timi ra ma ta jarpat ho as compare to him.)
my 2 cent

I don't want to comment on the ongoing 'useless' discussion. What forced me to comment is Ram Dev's words: BE from REC Allahabad India (One of the top regional Engineering College in India, few peeps will get chance) probably, he had scholarship from HMG; without that almost impossible to getting there for us.
I don't give a shit to RECs and there are lot of friends who chose Pulchowk and gave up the scholarship to join RECs. All RECs are 'tier II' colleges in India. This Ram Dev must be son of a Dhoti.
Pulchowk is the best.
