Dear Sushb83: I agree with you- Karna Das has very meaningful and touchy songs. His songs are filled with passion and emotion and melody. Bistarai Chaayo is nice song. Hi Sushb83: Well, nice to hear from you. It is from an album- "Sanu ma" by Prem Lama (???). I just happened to listen this song a couple of days earlier, and in an instant, that click with me. It has this touch of emotion and melody, and the result is such a meaningful song. Cheer Up Sushb83 Sahayatri Junkoholic

There are still really good artists in Nepali music whose lyrics/musics are extremly meaningful.I wasn't really into Nepali until last year a fren of mine got me into it..He helped explore whats good and whats not..from that onwards, I have appreciated Nepali music... I listened Karna Das from the days of "JIndago ko Ke Bharosa"..and he has his own falvor to songs..Very depressing but meaning indeed...have you seen the video one patricular song..where it shows Royal army guy getting killed and being rushed to hospital..its simple but vividly painful.. Anyway, some of the songs..that I cant get enough go are... Mutu Bhari---Deepak Kharel ( it almost makes me cry, so much feelings in it) Ritto Sadak ma-- Jon Shrestha( Hands down, best Nepali song for me) Mero Ankha ma/ Katti Kamzoor Rahecha -- Deep Shrestha Timi Herchaw bahne-- Arun Thapa and all the songs of Narayan Gopal....the lyrics if you udnerstand it..are viciously deep...those guys were something..

Wow, all those songs are quiet touching!!!.. Yes Casey- Karna Das songs are depressing, The video for "Bistarai Chayyo" is quiet sad. But, it reminds me of my uncle..he wasnt in the army but was doing volunteer work in another country...and its just the thought of him being alone...with no family..there...taking his last breath alone..that reminds me of that video/song. My grandmom always said, when he was younger he always wanted to hide in my grandad's suitcase and go traveling with him. Ironically, he was brought back in a coffin to Nepal!..life is sad, but i guess..MUSIC is my way of escape...! Thanks for those songs..i will listen to all of them!!
