Dear smart nepalese friends, can I just buy a data cable and hook up with my Laptop and transer pics from my cell phone or I have to run a the CD which comes with the data cable.

I don't know your service provider but I send my photo attachment to my gmail account from my verizon cell phone......
You can also buy data cable for $99 may be.....

But if you are really smart, you would buy a digital camera instead of using low pixel cell phone.

get the cable off ebay and download the software for your phone...

If ur laptop got bluetooth,u will not spend a single penny to transfer any kind of files from ur cellphone to laptop and laptop to cellphone.Just connect ur cell phone bluetooth to the laptop and do it.I am transferring songs,pics both ways and its easy to use.

i had same problem as u. i bought blue tooth it cost round $20.00 but u can get 10.$ google discount and  u have to pay  shipping charges. i tell you buddy its  very simple and work with my desktop and laptop and it just like  pen drive u can take it  where ever u want.....any web site and check i bought it from buy .com just visit website and everything will be clear.....

The best way would be phonetools software. I have Motorolla cell phone and i just downloaded motorolla Phonetools from net. If you can afford, you can buy it otherwise there are some good torrents as well. Then you can just hook your cellphone to the computer using usb cable and you can transfer pics, songs, ringtones whatever you want, even phone books.
