Applicants for US citizenship who are 65 years or older and have been permanent residents for at least 20 years may be eligible for special consideration during their interview. This is known as the "65/20 exception" and includes:
Easier civics exam
Applicants only need to study 20 questions marked with an asterisk (*) at the end of each question, instead of the full 128-question list. During the interview, a USCIS officer will ask the applicant to answer 10 of the 20 questions correctly.

Interview in native language
Applicants may be able to have their interview in their native language and take the civics test in the language of their choice.

English test exemption
Applicants with a medical condition that's expected to last at least 12 months may also be exempt from the English test.
