LOL. It seems I was missing this discussion for a while. Well, the reason for my weird comment is Lost's original posting: 'I am European an am planning to take a trip tp Nepal (Kathmandu only). I would like to know if it will be safe for me (i'm quite white). Also, could you please advise me on places I should visit. Thank you very much for your help! ' an am planning - sounds very Nepali. I thought a European would write 'And I am planning'. I was surprised how a native French could learn Nepali style English. But, it was my humble quest to know if he was of Nepali decent. I'm quite white - sounds very absurd to me at least. Why on earth would a native French write this one? But, again it was my humble quest to know if he was of Nepali decent. Me still doubt the French credentials of Lost as he has presented in this thread. What to do? I am always a doubtful guy ready to take complaints but whenever there is doubt, I prefer to cut it out. However, sincerely I have to admit my mistake for putting a weird question. Apologies to lost and to others. As I have said earlier, you have a good trip. Kathmandu cares more about 'quite white' people, be assured. Unlike the way Paris treats to English speakers, Albanians and Turks. And don't forget to post your memories and PHOTOS from Kathmandu, once you are back. :)

This is getting pathetic, but I guess some people really think that I'm a Nepali trying to pass as a French. I guess there's not much I can do to make you think the contrary... So Sitara, you're trying to write in French to check??? I didnt quite understand your French, but I think I got your main point which is to dye my hair with henna??? There were some hints from "henne", and "dye tip". And for next time, (free tip from a French), Ma'am doesnt exist in French. you will have to say "madame" to a married woman, and "mademoiselle" to a single girl. But hey, Ma'am is still better than "dear Euopean Sire." At least, you got the gender right this time! Thanks for the effort... And newuser, oh yeah, LOL. So the weird question comes from me writing "an" instead of "and"??? LOL... If you think that everyone who makes a spelling mistake is Nepali, then there are A LOT of Nepalis in the world!!! pathetique...

Lost, I hope you don't think all Nepalis are like this by the pathetic behavior you have seen in this thread. People tend to not think twice and have a big ego when they post online anonymously. These people tend to think they know everything. I've classifed them as having a "CLOSED MIND". Anyways Lost dont' let some closed minded users bother you. As far as I understand the situation in Kathmandu is fine and safe for everyone - be is black or white, brown or yellow. Fellow Nepalis lets show some respect and trust to few non Nepalis who come to these discussions, and welcome them with open arms and open minds.

Dear Lost, I am glad to hear that. Anyway, there is no need to change dye your hair. Just visit the way you look. Nothing will happen and nobody will care how you look. So, you are from France then. I have also met on French friend in Bangkok when i was traveling t US last year. We had a pretty good time. I am also planing to travel in Holland next year. Also, thinking about take a trip to France as well. Let see... Don't worry evrything will be alright and i am sure we will have fun in Nepal. One more thing, don't forget to visit pokhara. I highly recomend you to go there. I have also some friends out there. If you need help let me know. I'll be very happy to help you. Have a nice trip! and forget the rest. I apologeizes on behalf of those nepelease posting comments. There is always good and bad. All nepali are not like that and there are some good ones. Just give a damn about them. This is to those commenters who posted their comments not nicely. it is such a same to read all of your comments. yesati jasta le garda nai des bigreko. na ta afu nai bhancha nata aru le ramro greko nai sahana skcha. Badar le afno ghar pani bhanaudai na ani aru ko pani birgarna khoj cha. Help dinu kata kata ultain na na thari kura grane, gajab cha kasto nepali pana hoyo?

How hard was it for people to simply answer some safety concerns by a ?would be tourist?? Really? Instead, people like Newuser and Sitara went on to unnecessarily mock the poster. Newuser first posts an idiotic question that when Lost answered it as 100% European (I assume meaning fully European), she gets mocked by Sitara. And I understand lost?s intention to put ?quite white,? as we all know Europeans come in different colors and many (Spanish, Portugese, Italian, French-Algerian, French-Arabs) can look like Nepalese, and consequently could bypass the usual harassment in Nepal. Why all this hue and cry? I simply don?t understand. Either help her by giving suggestions or simply don?t bother. And please, newuser do not try to justify your idiotic question by saying that Lost sounded like a nepali trying to write in English, or nepali style of English. What do you really mean by ?Nepali style English?? Are all the misspelled sentences ?Nepali style English?? LOL. And when you say, ?Kathmandu cares more about 'quite white' people, be assured. Unlike the way Paris treats to English speakers, Albanians and Turks,? you really want Lost to believe the first part of your sentence? You are with your flawed judgment trying to ridicule her country. So please newuser, to save Nepalese some grace, and to save yourself from some shame, stop with your judgment calls. You will do a favor to yourself. And Lost like kryptonite said, just ignore these narrow-minded people here. At least now you know what other kind of Nepalese you could come across in Nepal.

Get over it Hurray. Was wondering how many of you are going to bleach yourselves to visit London now! And Lost, your French must be very poor if you can't fill in the missing letters to read and understand the text.

Thank you for your help, Gurungni, but actually, I'll spent the whole time in Kathmandu. I wish I could go to other places but I dont think I'll have the time for these, since I wont be staying too long. And I hope you'll get to go to France. And your advise to me goes to you: dont visit only Paris. There are a lot of really nice places to check if you have time. Have fun in Holland! And Laughing Boudha, you're so serious... the dying hair crap was a joke... a little meditaiton would help you relax...

Hurray, unlike you, म कागको पछि लाग्दिन। I hope you will understand that I am never in a mood to discuss with you. Laughing Budhha, you got my point. Some things appear opaque but if you try to peer through them, they turn transparent. Chirac doesn't have any business to argue with Gyanendra. If any French had been as stubborn with Nepalis, it is Charles Shobraj. But than he was a Vietnamese at first, wasn't he?

Intresting! I read whole thread not missing a single word. And the conclusion is ... "lost" is not an european. He/She is a pure Nepalese. Proofs.. check his/her previous postings in another threads. - http://sajha.com/sajha/html/OpenThread.cfm?forum=2&ThreadID=22326 (please note that he/she have a good knowledge about the travel agencies but in this thread he/she is asking a help for it) - http://sajha.com/sajha/html/OpenThread.cfm?forum=2&ThreadID=18111 (extracted from the thread>>> Posted on 12-01-04 2:42 PM Reply | Notify Admin come on, maha-sakti, i know you personally, and you're not even 25. there's nothing to be ashamed of. keep on putting that stinky mustard oil every other day, and your hair will grow back, but your girlfriend will be gone because hey! you stink!) if he/she is a French then how he/she knows "maha-sakti" personally, who is from States! And how comes he knows that nepalese ppl use mustard oil as hair oil? - http://sajha.com/sajha/html/OpenThread.cfm?forum=2&ThreadID=16416 (here he/she asks help for the airline ticket (from us to portugal) ) - http://sajha.com/sajha/html/OpenThread.cfm?forum=2&ThreadID=18050#100038 (quoted by "lost" Posted on 12-01-04 2:50 PM Reply | Notify Admin come on, maha-sakti, dont be such an attention seeker. you want money-minded to mention your name? you're kind of pathetic...but if you really want, i'll mention it, like that you'll get all the attention you're craving for. )) Dear sajhaties, now judge urself! ... that's all my lord! things you should do while in Nepal..i don't care you're French or Nepali.. 1.First and foremost don't just go to Pashupatinath, drink the Jal of Bagmati too, you'll have a feel of how pure Nepal and Nepali waters is. 2.Whether you like it or not you'll then land in Bir Hospital, make sure get holder of a nice doc, She/he will be handy for the rest of your trip. 3.Say you are related with some hollywood/bollywood/euro Film producers. Not only you'll get a free boarding at Anna. Paras will date you if you are a female or male his sis/mom - a royal maharani treat that even salman khan knows. 4.Make sure you goto Sagarmatha Base Camp..you'll get a feel of the maoist there 5. On your way back, goto Jumla for apple rum..and Pokhara 6. Stay for a fortnight in Pokhara- there are exclusive Blue moon (acid- trance) parties in the middle of the hills..organized by dutch people mostly 7.Go for a hunt in bardia national park if you can bribe the resort people..besides the population of ghorals need to be controlled - as they put it 8. Don't forget River Rafting in Rapti and bungee jumping - forbidden sports--also handgliding over phewa its inspirational 9. Of course for brunch - go mexican in Nepal - Mike's zbreakfast--great deals for $5 - $10 worth of food..and Bhaktapuri Chyaang, Newari Jaand, and Patan's bara are rare delicatessein 11.Finish off your dessert by hiking mountains - my fav trip the Gosainkunda- Ganesh Himal 5 day trekk or anna range 12.Last but not the least go skinny dipping in Hot water springs there and get high with the locals

LOST is really lost. I have not heard of many Europeans that would just like to go to "Kathmandu only." What for? He is definitely a Nepali pretending to be European... He might even be from Boston!! Caio RT
