If u want a better dslr, i will sell u my nikon D80 for that price, plus 18-55 F3.5 lens! flash, 3- 2GB(Professional) memory cards, charger, Rechargable AA battery charger and batteries ! and a UV lens filter! I am trying to sell it for an upgrade!

I think buying SLR is not a good choice for you, Go for dSLR( digital SLR). O f course slr are little bit cheaper than the dslr however due to the cost of film and processing you gonna pay alot more. On dslr you can review the picture instantly and erase the memory card for further use. And the other think is that if you are only thinking of taking the photographs not the videos then dslr cameras are good because dslr doesnot have video function. I think Sony HDR-SR11 will be the best choice for both video and still photo becoz it has 10Mp still photo and Full HD video. If you really want the dslr then Sony Alpha 350 or higher will be the best for your price range.

But be careful that you get the lenses from Nikon.. not the other one.. my friend got Canon 450D for like 800 i guess with the all accessories.. that was the nice deal.. i think D8 would be the nice choice rather than D9 or Canon 450D.... i would go for Nikon D8

MN Nepali, I see that the ebay price of 679 has a fake lens- remember it is not Nikon, what i have is a nikon 18-55 lens, i also have a tamron 70-300(I can sell that to you if u want to buy it.) 280.00 extra if u'd like that lens! With all the items i have said above I would charge you 650.00 for it, the cheapest i can do, when i bought the camera a year ago, i paid 1200 for the body and the 18-55 lens. The camera is in very good condition. And what the ebay is also advertising is a kingston type memory card which are cheap- what i have is SanDisk- 45mb/s memory card, one of them is Kodak! Sorry I donot have a bag but if i'll have to ship it to you, i'll make sure it gets to you without any scratches! I have sent you my phone number in your inbox. Thanks!

I am using canon 350D and am quite happy with it. The photo quality is quite good. The size of camera is much smaller than bulky nikon models. Now new model 450D is available.
