Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone of you have taken more than 1 laptop to Nepal. I am going this summer so if possible would like to take more than 1 laptop. I am willing to pay custom as well. Does anyone has any idea of how much the custom will charge if I take more than 1 laptop? Thanks for all the feedback.
dapu, 125% of the price that the immigration personnel decides as the price for your laptop.
These are the same idiots who levied heavy custom charge when my cousin sent a pair of Nike Air Jordan sneakers to his friend last year.
Also, I've bought a Laptop for my brother and its been sitting with me for 3 months and its still here. I don't wanna pay the customs fee while by the looks of things, whoever goes to Nepal these days takes at least an Iphone and a Laptop! God bless Loadshedding and the demand for Laptops!
Thanks for the reply I did not post this many threads - I don't know what happened. I just got error messages when I was posting. Btw how do I delete my own threads - anyone?
I took two and a 26" LCD monitor, You must have connection to pass through that iron gate and hungry corrupt employee , ( not proud of doing this but did not harm as other had done) . If it is LCD TV or monitor they will charge Rs 500 per inch.
I have taken 2 laptops in my hand carry bag that too twice and didn't have any problem whatsoever... I didn't pay custom or anything..Its very simple ... nobody will ask anything...and anyways I think you can take one extra laptop as a gift (not sure if its true)
Don't worry dude. You can take 1 laptop 4 sure. Its kind of 1 electronic item, 10 tola gold, 10 thou dollar, all written in document which you can take without any duty. Its kind of document they ll give you when you r about to reach ktm airport.
