widout tax u are allowed to bring only one cell phone and one laptop. Recently i just visited Nepal. In my experience i dont think that u will have any problem if u bring more than one cell phone or laptop. Those people working in TIA didn't check my luggage.

Do not bring basic, must have bigger screen so people may able to watch nagn chalchitra with mini hard drive or internet accessible cell phones only. Other wise neither you family would like it nor you can recover your cost.
Numbers may 10-15, is that enough.

1 laptop and 1 cellphone for your own use is allowed legally. Now, illegally, you can carry as per your wish. They check randomly, so if you got luck, you are free to go with any number of cell phones but if you are caught, think what happens...you gonna ruin your holiday.

i am not sure, but you may get into serious problem. They might case u for trying to escape from tax. in airport there are 2 gates. one green and one red. if u wanna declare your belongings and pay tax, u need to go to the red one. They will tell u how much u need to pay tax. another gate is green, where u dont need to pay tax. in this gate u are allowed to take one laptop and one cell phone. I went thru green gate. I brought 1 laptop n 2 cellphones. I didnt get caught. they hardly check anything. choice is urs. which gate u wanna go.
