Ok. This is about my roomie. She is a total tomboy. Unlike her, I love make-up, Mall clothing, and other awesome stuff like that! I know it's terribly girly, but I never ended up going to dinner with a bunch of random guys which my roomie does and she is always defensive and confident on herself while doing so.
Not necessarily that my roomie has football/basketball skills, tie-choosing ability or big muscles , but she was always called a lesbian, which she is so NOT. She don't love being a glamour girly girl, behave like a princess so they can treat her like a princess. So what? I m very femenist and thats what I love to be, and she likes to play sports of boys and etc. Everybody is unique. Why should anyone shield their femenist!

Ok this is what went off. She was poked fun at by bunch of stupid wooden puppet girls and judging her being a tomboy saying she is a lesbian and fancy other girls in the college. So what if she is a major tomboy, she was so miffed for girls acting all sissy, overgirly and stuff!! Everyone gets confused with their sex some point in their lives. Myself being Nepalese, I get confused, whether I should be sticking with my family ethics only or be a proven out-going lady. It's plain normal. Don't they say all girly girls, loving cool, fashion, hot stuff, are great flirt. I am girly but hey i'm not like a flirt. I just like to be myself and have a great time with make-up and other fashion stuff! The problem in US is they are drained in their thinking limit. I used to hold my best friend?s hand and walk down the New Road in Nepal. If I do it here? Ok enough. Beat it folks.

Back to my roomie's story, so she came to me and said, she couldn't take it. She wants to change. This is what I told her "You are a tomboy and be proud of it, You don't have to change. So there. If you change your look it's perfectly fine, but NEVER change your personality. What if some wasted girls passed the comment like "so don?t be so lets go play in the mudd! thats gross.............get a life!" Everyone fancies being closet cross-dresser." Then she said, she thinks so, but she felt bad today. As she was leaving the room, she told, "May be boys should have football and girls have make up and kittens and pups ONLY". Enlightened world has escorted to a wacked out society who ache for a more unusual than just world. Wow adopted alternative culture. Welcome You all.

Hey i pretty much agree with you, you are doing the right thing you know, be what you are and thats the greatest thing in the world, there is nothing stupider than trying to be what you are not.

We guys like girls who are tomboys too, its like vouyer for some guys. She dose not have to put on a make up to feel like a girl.

I don't know your friend so i can't give any suggestion or advice just reading your post just be positive about this situation and screw what others say and have fun with ur life.

Some stuff are different in US like holding hand and stuff like that, its just culture thinge and just some general things have to be followed to show that are ok to the society thats all.

Man this social talk can get kind a noodley, so just be carefull abt others feeling too thats all.
